The Lost City of Atlantis

A legendary island first noted in Plato’s dialogues.  Atlantis was a naval power lying in front of the Pillars of Hercules which conquered parts of Western Europe and Africa around 9600 BC.  After failed attempts to invade Athens, Atlantis sank into the ocean.  Could the fabled lost city of Atlantis have been located? Using satellite photography, ground-penetrating radar and underwater technology, experts are now surveying marshlands in Spain to look for proof of the ancient city.
