Mysterious Sightings…. Alcatraz Island is one of San Francisco’s most famous landmarks. Alcatraz, is one of the states former maximum-security prisons. It is also home of one of one of the city’s oddest ghost stories. Visitors of Alcatraz often claim seeing apparitions walking the cell blocks and voices coming from the area of the cafeteria. It is definitely one of the most haunted places to visit.
